DCRSD Pension/Retirement Plans

As a public employer and in lieu of Social Security, Dudley-Charlton Regional School District employees are eligible and mandated to be enrolled in one of three retirement plans offered through your public employment at DCRSD.  Enrollment is based on position held, hours scheduled to work per week and length of employment.

Once you have credible service of 10 years or more with the Dudley-Charlton Regional School District, your retirement plan deductions through MTRS or WRRS turns into a defined benefit/pension plan that can give you payments until end of life. For more information about pension eligibility, please contact Stacey Christiano, HR Director at 508-943-6888 ext. 148 or schristiano@dcrsd.org.

If you do not qualify for MTRS or WRRS enrollment due to hours worked, you will be placed in the Massachusetts Deferred Compensation SMART Plan (Mandatory OBRA) which is a defined contribution plan. This is a retirement plan that does not give you a lifetime benefit (pension).

DCRSD does not deduct Social Security payments for retirement from your paycheck.  Therefore, you must complete the SSA-1945 Form indicating your acknowledgement.
