Designation of Preferred Vocational School

While students may apply to any vocational school that accepts applications from non-resident students, a district, through its school committee, may designate a specific vocational school as a "preferred" vocational school for the purpose of Chapter 74 Non-Resident Student Tuition Program.

The Dudley-Charlton Regional School District (DCRSD) designates Southern Worcester County Regional Vocational School District (SWCRVSD) aka Bay Path Regional Vocation Technical High School (BPRVTHS) as its preferred vocational high school for students from the Town of Dudley and Town of Charlton. Students must first apply to SWCRVSD/BPRVTHS before applying to any other vocational school. Failure to first apply to SWCRVSD/BPRVTHS may result in the Superintendent disapproving an application for non-resident tuition to another vocational school.
