School Food and Nutrition - Meal Modifications
The Dudley-Charlton Regional School District is committed to complying with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) nondiscrimination regulations (7 CFR 15b) governing the Child Nutrition Program, as well as the requirements of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Office for Food and Nutrition Programs.
In accordance with USDA and DESE regulations, the Dudley-Charlton Regional School District will provide reasonable meal substitutions or modifications at no additional cost for students who are unable to consume the standard meal offering due to a disability or other documented special dietary need. Requests will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis.
- The district will ensure that school meals offered through the School Food and Nutrition Program meet USDA meal pattern requirements.
- The district will provide meal substitutions or modifications at no extra charge for students whose disabilities or other special dietary needs restrict their diet, as determined on an individual basis.
- Families must complete the required request form, which can be provided by School Food and Nutrition Program staff or accessed using the link below.
