New Employee Benefits Packet Overview
Welcome to the Dudley Charlton Regional School District. All benefit forms need to be returned within 30 days of your first day of work to the HR Director, MaryEllen Cerbone at mcerbone@dcrsd.org or at the Superintendent's Office at 68 Dudley-Oxford Road, Dudley, MA 01571.
DCRSD requires a minimum of the following documents to be returned within the first 30 days of employment.
- Section 125 Plan - DCRSD Benefit/Waiver Form
- SSA-1945 Form - Statement Concerning Your Employment in a Job Not Covered by Social Security
Benefit Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for medical, dental, long term disability and life insurance benefits, you need to be scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week. If you are hired as a long term substitute position or other temporary position, you need to be employed for at least 91 days to be eligible for benefits on your first day of employment.
DCRSD Retirement Plans
As a public employer, DCRSD does not deduct Social Security payments for retirement from your paycheck. Therefore, you must complete the SSA-1945 Form indicating your acknowledgement. In lieu of Social Security, you are eligible and mandated to be enrolled in one of three retirement plans offered through your public employment at DCRSD. Enrollment is based on position held, hours scheduled to work per week and length of employment.
Massachusetts Teacher Retirement System (MTRS) - retirement plan for Teachers, Nurses and Administrators who need a DESE license for employment.
Worcester Regional Retirement System (WRRS) - retirement plan for non teaching staff working 30 or more hours per week.
OBRA - retirement plan for substitute teachers and those working less than 6 months, or part time paraprofessionals working less than 20 hours per week. Paraprofessionals working 20-29 hours per week will be enrolled in OBRA and will transition to WRRS after 15 consecutive months of employment (as of 7/1/2021).

School ERP Pro Payroll System
Once you receive a dcrsd.org email address, please set up an Employee Self-Service Portal account to access all your payroll information.
For questions regarding the Employee Self-Service Portal, reach out to Diane Wilson, Payroll Administrator at dwilson2@dcrsd.org.
A Letter To All Staff
As a reminder, paper copies of Direct Deposit remittances have ceased. However, there are still two ways that payroll remittance information is disseminated.
First, every employee with access to the Employee Self-Service Portal can retrieve a copy of their Direct Deposit remittance. Second, your Direct Deposit remittance is sent via email to your work email address. Employees who elect Live Checks do not receive a Direct Deposit remittance email, but their Direct Deposit information is available via the Employee Self-Service Portal. PLEASE NOTE – Direct Deposit remittance is not tied to Direct Deposit, meaning if you do not receive your Direct Deposit remittance, this is not an indicator that you did not receive your Direct Deposit.
Additionally, the Employee Access Overview Guide details and reviews certain features to which employees have access. PLEASE NOTE – not all functions detailed in the guide are available to employees.
