The Dudley-Charlton Regional School District School Committee is opening the search for the next Superintendent of Schools.

The School Committee is seeking community input and representation from various stakeholders who are passionate about the future of education in our district. In order to hear from as many voices as possible we are offering two ways in which you can participate in the search process.
- -Option 1 – provide input via a survey (open to all until November 25th)
- -Option 2 – service on the Superintendent Search Committee (see description below)- CLOSED

The following individuals were chosen to serve on the Superintendent Search Committee:

Municipal representative – Kerry Cyganiewicz

Thank you to the many individuals that submitted an application. We look forward to you sharing your thoughts and interest through the survey and focus groups being held in Charlton and Dudley.
Responsibility of the search committee is to review all applications received for the position, select the 1st round candidates, interview the 1st round candidates and recommend finalist candidates to the school committee.
- November 30 Deadline for submitting applications
- Week of December 10th Semi-finalists selected
- January 2018 Semifinalist Interviews
- January 23 Finalists announced
- February 2019 Site visits/interviews
- February 27 Vote to appoint Superintendent
- July 1, 2019 Superintendent begins
Time commitment for the members of the search committee will include:
November – a night meeting for orientation
December – complete review of applications week of December 3rd (flexible - can be done at home or during business hours at the Superintendent’s office); a night meeting to meet to determine 1st round candidates.
January – multiple meetings will be held to interview the 1st round candidates. Meetings may be held at night and/or Saturdays. Determination will be made in December based on the number of candidates selected.
