The philosophy of the Shepherd Hill Sports Academy is to provide a safe environment where children can learn the fundamentals of a variety of sports. Participate in traditional athletic activities and can feel that they have achieved a measure of success. The staff encourages all attendees to participate in all of the drills,. games, and associated activities. The staff help to promote a healthy respect for the sport, sportsmanship and the common values we all hold true: honesty, cooperation, caring for others, friendship and self-esteem. The staff of the Shepherd Hill Sports Academy is made up primarily of Shepherd Hill coaches and student athletes. The Shepherd Hill Sports Academy clinics intentionally maintain a high staff ratio in order to provide more individual attention to each child thus making the clinic experience more rewarding.

The Shepherd Hill Sports Academy offers an EXTENDED DAY CARE Program for clinic participants at the cost of $10.00 per extended day session. The morning extended program is offered from 8:00—8:45 a.m. and the afternoon extended program is offered from 12:00 – 1:00 and 4:00—5:15 p.m. with an afternoon clinic registration. This extended program is supervised but not structured. All extended day campers will be dropped off at Shepherd Hill gymnasium. Clinic directors will pick-up and drop-off extended day campers to and from the Shepherd Hill gymnasium each day.
